Moor at Tante Kee
We have a great tip for people in the neighbourhood of the Kagerplassen Lakes in South Holland…
The restaurant Tante Kee, located on Kaageiland and surrounded by water on all sides, has a jetty suitable for boats up to and exceeding 15 metres. The charming bistro has one of the most beautiful outdoor cafés in the Netherlands and serves delicious French cuisine made with organic and regional products whenever possible. Tante Kee is a proud member of the JRE (Jeunes restaurateurs d’Europe).
According to the Michelin Guide for the Netherlands: ‘A ferry brings guests to this wonderful eatery and in the evening there is a beautiful spectacle of small boats going to and fro. Inside, the restyled décor provides modern intimacy, with water taking pride of place all around. The fascinating French flavour variations of modern, occasionally oriental, dishes are the highlight of the adventure.’
Guests can moor by the outdoor café area as long as there is room available – you can check in advance by calling +31 252 544206. If this is occupied, there are plenty of berths in the immediate vicinity.
