Yachts should perform as well as they look

Studio Delta is specialised in the naval design of motoryachts. Situated in the port of Scheveningen, the company translates concept designs into ultra-reliable plans.

Studio Delta

All the work at Studio Delta is of a technical nature as the bureau focuses on areas such as hull design, propulsion and stability. Its drawings and calculations are in line with the work of the designer and provide yards with all the information required to prepare for construction. The company’s portfolio ranges from launches & tenders to fast cruisers and long-range yachts.

Studio Delta can best be described as a team of ambitious, skilled professionals who contribute specific knowledge and talent in the field of naval architecture, structural design and engineering.

The team of technical specialists works in a client- and project-oriented way. Ensuring the quality of services to its clients in yachtbuilding requires a meticulous and investigative approach. Menno van Dijk, director and naval architect, has been the passionate head of Studio Delta for over 20 years. In his words: “Tell us your vision and we’ll turn it into a superb yacht. That is what it’s all about: developing a seaworthy vessel with an optimal performance.”

This philosophy is also the foundation for the bureau’s partnership with Van den Hoven. The performance and engineering of the entire Voyager line are in the hands of Studio Delta.

Studio Delta always has a keen eye on the future, and this includes integrating corporate social responsibility within its activities in various ways. The bureau partners with non-profit organisations that invest in knowledge anchoring and development in yachtbuilding, and provides internships for naval architecture students.

Van der Hoven and Studio Delta share a passion for hard work and sailing. Various of the bureau’s staff are regularly seen on or around the water, and the studio itself is a proud sponsor of the Blue Marine Foundation, which campaigns for the preservation and recovery of our oceans. It was also one of the first to support the Water Revolution Foundation, an association which aims to neutralise the ecological footprint of the yachting industry.
