First Elite 55 sold

Van den Hoven has launched a new series called the Elite to complement its highly successful Executive and Voyager lines. René van der Velden is responsible for the elegant design, following on from his superb work on the Voyager. The Elite 55 is therefore instantly recognisable as a true Van den Hoven and the first model has already been sold.

In addition to the Elite 55, René is currently working on designs for larger models within the Elite range (more information will follow on these in due course). He has also designed a 55 Flybridge model that will seamlessly integrate the sleek lines of the Elite 55. Visit the Elite 55 yachtpage to see the specs and interior layout.

Long-distance travel

The owner who has commissioned the first Elite 55 is a new client for Van den Hoven who plans to travel with his family on extended voyages, including to Scandinavia. The exterior and interior layout as well as the generous onboard space make this yacht eminently suitable for such long-range cruising. A Hull Vane stern wing and zero-speed stabilizers will add to the safety and comfort for all aboard.

Round-bilge hull

The Elite series will feature a steel round-bilge hull. This will ensure owners an excellent sailing performance with a smooth motion in waves, high stability and low fuel consumption. In addition, the motoryacht will be equipped with spud poles, a hydraulic swim platform and a top-quality air conditioning system from Webasto.
