Family yacht Calypso restored to like-new condition
When you’ve been part of the boatbuilding business your entire life people naturally expect you to own a motoryacht yourself. That’s certainly the case with Calypso, which has been in the Van den Hoven family for years and, of course, was built entirely in-house.
Like every motoryacht, Calypso requires regular maintenance. After 15 years we recently began a major refit, giving this lovely yacht the treatment she deserves. The engine is being given a major service, the entire yacht repainted, all woodwork revarnished and a new cockpit bimini installed.
We expect to once again be enjoying time on this beloved gem next summer. While an epic voyage to the Caribbean with the entire family won’t be happening, fun in our own country is assured. We’ll keep you updated on the progress.
