Another reason why the Open Day was so memorable was the initial contacts made with Michelle van den Hoven which later led to the sale of the upgraded 1700 Mk2. This lovely yacht will feature the all-new window arrangement in the hull. As with the recently delivered Executive 2400, this redesign will give the seventh (that lucky number again!) 1700 Mk2 even more natural light inside and provide better views of the outside world. The timeless overall profile comes from the drawing board of Arnold de Ruiter, who also drew the successful 1850, 2100 and 2400.

The water keeps calling
The owners of the latest 1700 Mk2 to join the fleet are experienced Dutch mariners. Their roots in commercial shipping means they know exactly what they require from their own yacht. This includes having a close connection to the water as they cruise primarily in the Netherlands, although plans are already taking shape for longer trips. Their previous yacht was a 15-metre Valkkruiser and their new acquisition is slated for be delivery in the autumn of 2027.
Proven foundation, personal yacht
The fact that a seventh 1700 Mk2 is now being built shows that the design has proven itself in practice. At the same time, every yacht is different. The layout, equipment and finish are tailored to the owners’ cruising plans and personal wishes. The result is not a standard yacht, but a 1700 Mk2 with a character entirely its own.
