Silver celebration: 25 years of Van den Hoven Jachtbouw
As a passionate master carpenter, Bart’s rich experience in interior construction came in handy (you can still feel this love for wood in all Van den Hoven yachts today). The construction and quality of the first boat did not go unnoticed and Bart quickly found a buyer. This encouraged him to start working on a second motoryacht, and the rest as they say is history.
After five successful builds, Bart took the decision in 1999 to professionalise the whole operation and open his own yard. He has never looked back, initially running Van den Hoven Jachtbouw with his wife Monique and later with their daughter Michelle and son Julian. At the time of writing, no less than 62 beautiful and much sought-after yachts have been launched, ranging in size from 15 to 22 metres.
The silver jubilee of Van den Hoven Jachtbouw was celebrated in style on 10 and 11 May with a hugely successful Owners Rally.
